School Leadership
Principal – Amy Plonk
Hi Terrapins, I’m Amy Plonk! I’m a wife to Darrell and proud mom to Emma, 19 and Eli, 16. As a family, we love traveling to baseball games—we’re on a journey to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums and only have five left in California!
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and spent 23 years as a classroom teacher before earning my master’s degree in school administration from Gardner-Webb University.
I’m passionate about building relationships and am so thankful to be part of the Tuttle Elementary family.
Hello everyone!
My name is Keaton Hullette, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to join the Tuttle family this year! I have been serving students for nearly ten years as a classroom teacher; however, I feel so blessed to now have the opportunity to support our teachers, students, and their families in my new role as the assistant principal.
I met my husband, Nakota, when we were both pursuing bachelor's degrees in education at Appalachian State University. We got married in 2016 and now have two children, Milo (7) and Lettie (4). We enjoy attending sporting and community events, serving at our church, playing pickleball, and taking vacations to the beach.
In just a few interactions, it became apparent to me that family, relationships, and teamwork are at the heart of the Tuttle community, and I quickly felt this was a place I wanted to be a part of. I feel so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside you all this year, and I can't wait to meet and learn more about each of you!
